"Good Morming"

It isn't exactly morning here as the title states...and yes that is an "m" instead of an "n" in morning, but this is one of my favorite phrases that Marlee says each day. It doesn't matter if it is actually morning or the afternoon. If she wakes up, this is what she says. Her vocabulary has increased ten fold over the last couple of months, and it takes her only one time...even a whisper of a word, to know a new one. I can't quite tell if I am sad or happy when she tells me she is going in her room and she will be right back. I say this because my baby is growing up and is a little girl who will soon be in preschool, and that she speaks in much larger sentences these days. She doesn't like much keeping her room clean, or the rest of the house for that matter. Right after Zachary or I pick up her room, with her help of course, she waits until we are done...then waits until we leave, and finally she has all her boxes dumped out on her floor again. Each time she says, "oh wow...cinderella...or polly...or whatever toy it is she plays with everyday, but it feels new to her again. I also can't remember if I have mentioned it before, but the movie Tangled is her favorite new movie. In this movie, Rapunzel's hair glows and her "mom" brushes it while singing a song. So, what this means is Marlee needs to have her hair brushed, but she has to sit in a chair. She doesn't like it if she doesn't have a chair like Rapunzel. However, as far as the singing goes...if you are daddy, "no singing", she says. Sorry daddy! He must not know the right words. Ha Ha! She also likes the show "Super Why" on PBS. I always feel bad saying no to that show at the moment, or TV in general because of all the Barbie she used to watch. At least this is educational, right? Once I get out of school for the summer I look forward to getting some educational stuff that we can do throughout the day. I think she would enjoy it. As long as it involves coloring or some kind of art I think she will be happy. She loves to draw. She will tell you what each squiggly line, or round of circles is. "Dis is Tasha"....or "Dis is Tinkerbell". She also likes for us to draw her fairies, and other stuff as well. Zach is a much better artist...I must have stopped drawing sometime in the second grade because that is about the level my art is!
She has also developed quite the diva attitude. Sometimes this has to be settled with a timeout. She seems to have more of those these days. She definitely wants what she wants when she wants it. She has some vocal chords on her. You can ask USAA...the operator there seems to have heard her a couple of times recently. I know it will get better at some point. Sigh...
On to a baby update. We had another ultrasound a week or so ago and the doc said everything looked great! We got to see the little guy/girl moving around and it's little legs and arms seemed so sweet and skinny! I am almost 16 weeks now and can't wait until May! That is when we will find out the gender. I am trying to stay neutral, but all the boy talk does get me a little excited. Of course I will be happy no matter the sex. We will be sure to keep everyone posted. I am feeling better for the most part. I still have a sensitive stomach, but I have been able to help out more around the house and do a little more in general. That is progress in my book. It was really nice and warm during my spring break and it was nice to sit outside for a bit and soak up a little vitamin D. It has been cold and rainy here the last couple of days, but hopefully the warm weather will make itself known again soon! That is all the time I have for now, but hope everyone is having a blessed day!
