Yeah,I know...the title is lame. Trying to find time to blog is hard enough, let alone come up with some catchy title. So much has happened since the last time I posted, as usual. We spent Christmas in TLF (base hotel)and were there for almost a month. Marlee had a great Christmas! It was so cool watching her open her presents this year. She had so many things, she didn't know what she wanted to play with more. It has been raining a lot here as well. They have had record rainfall this year and there has been a lot of flooding in the surrounding area. It was nice to be able to move off base recently and into our NEW HOME!! Within the first 48 hours of arriving here at Beale we found the house that was soon to be called the Herringz Domain. It took four weeks or so for the process to be complete, but after a million of dropped phone calls, faxes, and weeks of waiting, we have officially become homeowners! It was very surreal in the beginning, but now it just feels natural. I am impatient, however, about getting the house to where I want it to be. I have never been the patient type, so I have time now for a lot of practice :). Marlee has enjoyed running around the house and also enjoyed having her toys and room back. If only she felt the same about her bed... That is a work in progress. One thing at a time, right? Zach is slowly but surely getting back into the flow of working, and Marlee and I are re-establishing our routines. Things are good! I am trying not to feel that something crazy is going to happen since things are falling into place. We did have some things damaged in our household goods delivery that we aren't thrilled at all about, but we kind of expected it after seeing the way the movers handled our belongings. One box of DVD's didn't even make it to California. The moving company said the driver didn't have it in his inventory. boooo.... Oh well, we are getting all that taken care of at the moment, so here's to hoping things work in our favor (fingers crossed). We miss our family and friends and wish we could share these new experiences with everyone! I hope things are swell for everyone and I will try to be better about updating this thing.

Hey girl, just wanted to comment on your blog. You have a really great blog! Glad I decided to stop for a second and read it today. I am so happy for the Herringz!! I believe that you are a very special person!! I am so happy that you met and fell in love with someone that you want to share the rest of your life with and that you had such a beautiful child with. I just wanted to let you know that those are God's plans for you!!! His plans for you and your family are only good, nothing but good. (For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11) Those times when things happen that we seem to have no control over, don't come from God. He is our refuge and high tower!! Those times that are not good, sometimes they come from our choices, sometimes other people don't cooperate, but the majority of the time, it is the devil trying, and I do mean trying, to steal away things he has no right stealing!!! Also know though that when those times come around, that because of what Jesus did on the cross and because as a child of God, you now have the authority that Jesus gave you to conquer (Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 1 John 4:17), you have the power to resist the devil and he will flee from you. (Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7) Sometimes it takes a fight to take back what's rightfully yours. The one thing that will help in this fight and any fight you go through is to read God's Word. It can help with any anxieties you have and give you the confidence you need to make any stand you need to. You may not understand everything I wrote, but it came from my heart, and all you need to really know is that I love you all and am very happy for you all. Hope we can come visit you when the time is right in your beautiful new home. Love you much, Aunt Vicki.
