Counting the days....9 to be exact.

So, we have been in our hotel for the last few days and things are going swell for us all. We are busy doing out-processing stuff, but it is really nice to be on base and do our thing, and then only have to drive to the hotel....on base, and not 15 minutes away. Marlee is adjusting well and that makes things easier on me. I was just so worried about how she would be. It was kind of sad to leave our village knowing we would most likely never see again. Zach was ready to get out of there, so I don't think he misses it! Things were different there to say the least, but it has been our home for the last four years. Our landlord's parents cried when we left. That was strange. I mean that is the nicest way possible. We turned in our keys and our now home free! Before we left I also spent 40 euros on candy and later found out that the post office on base wasn't accepting any outgoing parcels until after the 29th. So, let's just hope we can ship them out before we leave! Let's see...most everything is done and only a few more big things left. Shipping the car is one of them. We are going to do that next week, and we managed to bring part of the house with us to the hotel. So, we will have to go through things and dumb down our bags a bit. I am posting some random pics below of the last week or so. More to come as well, but I don't have time to get the rest of the pics off the camera just yet. Hope the post finds you all well and we can't wait to be home to see all of you! Take care and next time I right....hopefully we will be in TEXAS!

Counting the weeks!

Only three weeks left people!! It is so hard to believe. We have been so busy with the preparation of moving...yet not doing much as far as actual physical labor. We can't pack anything because they have to do it, but we have gotten a lot of things taken care of. It has been stressful, but not too bad. My aunt Beate and her parents, Erich and Res, came over today for their last visit with us. It was a nice visit and sad to think this might potentially be the last time we see Erich and Res. Marlee loves them. She has always taken to them so well. She will miss them I think. We didn't say goodbye...I just said, "see you later". I don't like the whole "goodbye" thing. They will missed. The food, especially the bakeries, the scenery, and getting the chance to see family I hadn't seen in a long time or never met before was really nice. I might have never gotten to meet my Oma's brother if Zachary wasn't in the military, so the opportunity was a bonus.

Marlee loves the walks we go on, and we love to TRY to take pictures of her when we go. I say try because she is usually looking down, or anywhere other than where the camera is. She is such a turkey these days, and is coming into her own each day. I posted a lot of pictures of the walk below and some additional ones I though were great. She has been pointing to the sky now and saying..."sky". When she hears a plane sometimes she will point to the sky if we are outside and say "sky" too. She is amazing to learn from. She has to still have her "flouwa" when we go on walks; she still loves to go "owsye"; she loves to say "bye" all the time even to the tv when her shows are over; She says "hi" every time we go get her from a nap and that is the sweetest sound to one's ears; and she still loves her yogurt, but she doesn't hunt for it much anymore. I can't wait until we get back to the states so we can go the park, tumbling maybe, see family, the zoo, and so many other things that she is getting to the age to have fun doing. Until then...I guess it's The Office...and...Indian food. Some of you will understand what all that means. Have a blessed day!

She wanted to watch a movie instead of doing skype...such a little girl!
