Just our girl

So we are passed the birthdays now! I have to admit I am a little happy about it. I was busier than usual and it was kind of exhausting. However, I would do it over in a heartbeat if I had the chance! I don't have to say how busy I have been, but....there you have it! I feel like I don't get to sit down until I go to bed! There is a lot on our plate at the moment. Marlee is changing every day. Her new "word" is "cackers". Most of the time it is "cack cacks" She is such a smart girl. Sweet too! She often comes over while I am laying on the floor and just cuddles with me. She really is the sweetest little angel. Zach is good, but he is really busy lately with work. They dissolved the shop he works in and now he is a part of another squadron. It really sucks, because now he works like 12 hours a day. Poor guy! He will have some vacation soon, however, because his dad is coming to visit soon. My mom will also be here very soon, and I am very excited for that. Well I need to straighten up the house. The little "Marlee Tornado" has hit again. It is a mess!

FIRST BIRTHDAY!!!!

Yay! We had Marlee's birthday party this Saturday. I was so busy all week leading up to it. I made a cake for Zach and decorated for his birthday too because his birthday was on the 13th. I tried decorating Marlee's cake to look like her party decorations. I think I did ok for my first time ever decorating. Zach's cake....I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, so it really doesn't have a theme per say. I am happy overall anyway. After I set everything up I realized that she really did get a lot of stuff! I was shocked at all her little "prizes"! Thanks everyone for sending her some cool stuff! She didn't really get what was going on, but she had fun. She did cry though when I put a party hat on her. She didn't like it at all. It took a little bit for her to calm down and then we did the cake. How COOL was that!!?? It was so sweet to see her eat her cake. She barely touched it at first and put it to her lips. Then, she got more and more each time. I was a little worried that she may go into a diabetic coma because all the sugar!!! She LOVED it!! I felt so bad when we took it away because she cried again! Poor baby... She had started to open presents, but she was so sleepy so we put her down for a nap. She finished opening her gifts later. It was busy, but fun and we had the pleasure of the Bouslough's company. It was a nice day. Both the babies actually took a nap close enough together that we got some adult hanging out time. That was nice. After all was said and done I am so blessed to have the daughter and husband that I do. I hope they had a good time this weekend. Next year hopefully we will have family there too! We can't wait!

Almost ONE!!

Well, Marlee is almost 1 year old!! We couldn't be more excited. She is turning into such a little lady. She is sweet and sensitive, but very decisive! We did have some rough days (naps) and nights over the last week. She just didn't want to sleep unless we were in the room with her. The last couple of nights have been better. We are going to celebrate her birthday on Saturday. Tomorrow I plan on making her and Zach's birthday cakes. His birthday is today! He is 30 years old!! Yay! I am so proud to be his wife and his friend. He is the best. His soul is captivating. I love him so much. I made his favorite batch of cookies last night so they would be waiting for him when he came home from work. They are butterscotch and chocolate chip. I finally have the perfect recipe. I was soooo stoked about my cookies last night I wanted to call everyone and tell them how awesome they were. Carol gave me a tip for my recipe. Less sugar, and a packet of vanilla pudding! It was the trick to making them rise perfectly and still taste sweet and chewy. I am just sitting here smiling :) I hope to make the cakes just as well tomorrow. We will see. See ya in a few days!

This was a week or so ago. I just wanted to post it anyway. Such a big girl!





I had another video I was uploading, but the internet went out and I lost it. Maybe next time.... We are getting closer and closer to my baby's FIRST birthday!!! I am so excited. We aren't doing anything big. Just celebrating with some close friends. I am also celebrating Zachary's birthday too on the same day. He will be 30 this month. Their birthday's are only 5 days apart. I am so excited! So many things are happening over the next couple of months. This weekend we are gonna be very busy. I will update later. Then the birthday people!! Both my babies! Then my mom is coming in the beginning of September for a week. I can't wait for that. I am anxious about her meeting Marlee. A couple of weeks after that Zachary's dad is coming to visit for two weeks. We are going to Oktoberfest and then Ireland, so we will be SO VERY BUSY during that time. I am looking forward to it. It will be nice to be busy up until we leave. I am curious to see how Marlee deals with all the chaos and change. She is a trooper. She is doing great as usual. She is teething again I think. She still isn't walking, but no worries there. Her vocabulary has extended with "Hug" and "Duck"! Yesterday everything during bath time was, "Duck..duck...duck"! Today in the car ride to the base she was holding her arm out towards her lion sunshade and saying, "Hug..hug..hug". It is impossible not to be proud of her! Till next time....
