Marlee's a Rockin'

Well, our sweet lady is getting closer and closer to crawling! She was up this morning rocking on her knees with Zach. By the time we thought to get the camera, so people could see it, she was tired! We did get a little taste of it. I can't express the feeling of excitement I got. A complete rush of mommy endorphins! Way cool I tell you! Things are going great over here. We had some friends over this weekend and their son is so cute! We are also trying to make plans with some family members to come over and visit around Marlee's birthday or soon thereafter. This coming up weekend is a three day weekend and we are going to go to lunch and shopping in Neunkirchen with some friends of ours.....and to top it all off....I am going to be an aunt again! My brother and his girlfriend are going to have another baby! I wasn't as excited when I heard the news, but I spoke with him today and he is excited. He also got a raise at his job and I can only hope things will go okay with them. I am okay...I guess....if he is feeling okay. I need to call him more for sure. Playing Catch Up

It has been a while since I last posted. We have been busy with the small things and Zach and Marlee have also been sick. Zach was really sick for about a week and then Marlee, poor thing, was the sickest it seemed. She had an ear infection and bronchialitis. Her cough sounded horrible! She seems to be back to her old self with just a little cough now. I am soooo happy! We got little sleep over the last two weeks. She is such a turkey! She's our little explorer or Curious George. She has also been mimicking what we say as well. It is sooo neat! She holds books and says..."ook" It is really amazing! It is hard not to think she is saying it. The weather has been really rainy and cold lately so we haven't been doing too much outside, but with Marlee being sick it didn't matter all that much. Her daddy put a blanket around her while she watch watching her baby enstein and she didn't move an inch. She just sat there for the entire video.

Marlee's smile tends to bring the sunshine. We had a lot of fun this morning and here are a few pics.

Well, this weekend didn't go exactly as planned. However, it was pleasant and we got some things accomplished. Zach cleaned up the garage, and we started to "de-moss" the backyard walkways. It gets crazy out there! The first year we were here we cleaned out the backyard. It was like a jungle!! The second year, we planted flowers and re-did a lot of things....and last year...nothing (I was pregnant). So, this year...it looks like a jungle again, and I just want it to be pretty again! We will see. It just all seems so pointless since we leave next year. Marlee loves being outside! She just bounced in her jumper or pushed around in her walker. I can't wait until it actually gets warmer and we can stay out longer. It also is a tid bit colder where we live, versus the 15 min to the base. We live at a higher altitude. So, one day we will go check the weather outside, feel coldness, dress warm...and arrive on base and sweat! Crazy! Enough jibber jabber. I posted some pics of Marlee this weekend and also from last weekend. We went to my uncle Erich's birthday...or my Oma's brother. We had a great time. We went to the restaurant we usually go to and it was really good. I had some steak from Argentina with some potatoes! This may sound silly, but I haven't eaten any potato anything in the last month or so! So, I was in heaven to say the least. I love starches and carbs, and have been trying to keep them at a minimum lately. Marlee did really well at the restaurant, and was the center of attention as usual. She likes them, and has always seemed to take to them well. To bring this novel to a close...take a look at the pictures!

S-U-N-N-Y Day

Today was the nicest day outside that we have had yet! It was a little warm and and a clear sunny sky. Marlee and I went out for a little while, but it was really windy and she has been grabbing her ears lately. Things have been the same...good, but the same. We are still working out as much as we can....or feel like. I actually can't wait for this weekend because we aren't doing ANYTHING! Well, we are going to try to do a lot, but as far as going anywhere...we are not. We are going to try to take care of stuff around the house...change the oil in the car...and just enjoy the warm weather. Hope everyone has a nice weekend!
