I am up to 30min now on the elliptical, plus other exercises!!! Yay Me! Just thought I would pat myself on the back!

The Mighty Mighty Elliptical

So I thought I could update everyone on my exercise progress. I have to say I am proud of myself...I have been doing 20+ minutes on the machine monster upstairs, pleasantly called an elliptical. I know, I know...20 minutes is nothing to some of you, but for me it is a milestone. I haven't worked out since before I was pregnant, and even then it was sporadic at best. I just like doing activities and playing sports. I am not a gym groupie. I just really feel bleh and need to lose this baby weight. I still have quite a few more pounds to lose but I will leave that a mystery for most of you. My goal is that by August I am at least within 5lbs of my pre-pregnancy weight. So send you support and luck so that I will overpower this thing called....laz-E-itis... We have become too close and I think we need to break up!

6 Months Old!!!!

Today my sweet little lady is 6 months old! She is growing so fast. We absolutely adore her and I thank God every night when I say my prayers for bringing her into our lives. Life feels more complete. She had a rough time today napping. She just didn't want to really. After her dinner she sat in my lap and played with toys. When they lost their luster we started playing together. I have to say that we had SO much FUN! I really had the most fun this afternoon. She looked at me like she understood everything coming out of my mouth. I tickled her a bit and we laughed...I made noises and we laughed. She just didn't stop smiling! She is amazing. I hope everyone is having as great a day as I had!

Who says exercise rocks???

I found myself reading my Self Magazine today with the hopes that after I was actually done I would be 20lbs skinnier. Ahhhh, Alas this is not the case. Am I the only person who does this? I find myself lacking motivation to get upstairs and exercise. So, I try to read my health magazines for a little shove. For a moment I feel powerful and full of energy...then, Marlee wakes up and I soon forget about my motivation. It soon turns back into...I am so tired mode. I am, however, going to go up there...one day...joking...tomorrow and again try my attempt at a regular exercise ritual. I do really well for a few weeks and then I get really bored. I love outdoor activities though, and I would love to play some volleyball right now or soccer...something. It is like 30 degrees and we still have like 4 inches of snow on the ground. I think it is the season. It is always cloudy and dreary over here, especially in winter. So, wish me luck so that I can make my own sunshine!

She's a Pro

I'll make this short! I just had to put this video up of my sweet lady! She is such a pro now sitting up! I can't believe all these things I have wanted to just happen already and now....most of them have....and quick for that matter! Now most days I sit and wish it would all just slow down for a bit. We are so proud of her!

Sitting Up!!

So, we are sitting up now! She has been sitting up for a few weeks, but only for a few seconds at a time. I have to admit she still falls over after a while, but she sits up by herself and plays for a long time now! I am sooooo proud of her! She doesn't like to lay down as much anymore, and seems to be so much more aware of her environment. We went in her room today and were just looking around and going through some of her toys and books to play. We haven't done that in a while. She has this like netted thing with different levels hanging from her ceiling. She was so interested in that. We went on to reading, but she kept turning around and just looking at it up and down. She is something else!

I ain't no Scare-D Cat!

I have the funniest little person living with me! Her name happens to be Marlee Marie and she never ceases to amaze me. For some reason she doesn't get scared...at least very easily. When Oscar barks...she finds this funny! She just laughs every time he does. Zach and I will play a little game with her and just walk by her pretending do to something then.......BOO!! Her little laugh is so very contagious. She is changing daily. Everything she does now is with intention and deliberate. Check out this video of her giggling after zach tries to scare her!

My little Screamer!

Well, my sweet baby's personality sure is shining through these days! She loves to scream! I don't mean she is mad....she just screeches and screams to hear her own voice! However, I can picture this adorable little screeching and screaming progressing into an "I didn't get my way" kind of thing. Sometimes when she is sleepy and ready for her nap she will get fussy. So, she does a few fake cries then a screech! I can just see us in the grocery store or someplace crowded one day, and sweet little miss Marlee just screaming away. I am hoping that the morals, values, and just plain direction we give Marlee will contain these little foreseeable outbursts! The picture below is while she is screaming!

Blah Blah Blog

Hello to all!! I wish I could blog about more interesting things these days, but unfortunately we aren't that entertaining... However, there is always pleasure in writing about my sweet Marlee! She is getting so much better about moving foward in her walker! I tried to get it on video, but she didn't have much energy left and the wheels tend to get stuck in the crevices of the tile. She is getting more and more communicative and I can't wait till she says her first word! ....it will be Mama!!! She wants to sit up all the time and is getting better at it on her own, but I think it will be a while till she does it by herself. She has her daddy's laid back attitude! "Mom, I will in a little while...I'm relaxing right now" Oh how she loves to relax with her daddy! She has him wrapped around her little finger! The other day I was exercising on our eliptical upstairs...yes people, you read correctly...EXERCISING! Yall may want to mark that down in the books because who knows when it will actually happen again. Anyway, I laid her down for her nap before I went upstairs. She likes to wake up for a few minutes after awhile to play then she will go back to sleep. Her daddy, however, likes to go and get her when she plays because Marlee gets so excited when she sees the door open she laughs and wriggles around. To make a long story short...I guess it is a little late for that....I was exercising and saying to myself, "please don't let Zach get her, he is such a softie"!! She loves her daddy so much! .......... She is such a happy baby and seems to be doing well with teething..so far....and hopefully next time I write, she will be sitting up! Well, I see I went on and on for today...Till next time!
